No, it's just out of tune. Tone-deafness make things that are out of tune unnoticeable to the one who is tone deaf; it doesn't make things that are in tune sound bad. So, maybe? you're tone deaf? Maybe not. Either way, if these are professional musicians, which they appear to be, the lack of intonation is unacceptable. It doesn't matter if anyone making criticisms can do better or not. There is a certain level of proficiency expected of professionals, and it isn't being met here.

Of course, this is an arrangement with Stokowski signature. When I came with curiosity to watch this video I did not think I will find that kind of Bach we think it should be (and who knows in truth what is the real way to play Bach? of course, this? is a bit far of any idea) but the great thing I listen here is that Bach, in anyway is interpreted or imagined, is always MAJESTIC! This was on the BBC? And people actually watched it? I'm truly impressed. As an American, I'm very disappointed that so much of our? TV programming caters to a very, very low common denominator, with the result that so much of what is available seems to resort to (semi) naked women and explosions to hold the audience's attention. Great? performance and sound--loud & raucous--and all in one file! But these Koreans are singing this Russian cantata in English! Except for the Latin, of course. First time I've heard it this way since the Reiner version. Even better--the "Fields of the Dead" soloist is in Russian, much more appropriate. One niggle--if I remember my Latin, "cymbalis" should be pronounced "kimbalis." Latin "c'" is "k". Sorry, showing off. Excellent, the best I've found on Y-T.

An amazing performance. May I ask which orchestra is performing? This is all the? more amazing when you realize Koreans are singing in Russian (I think; I can't understand Russian, but their Russian accents sound extremely standard). Prokofiev would be proud.
