@mpete78 I did a tour of downtown Cincinnati, and we went into some of the older buildings? that had been abandoned. It was very interesting, because we went into a building that used to be a German Tanzenhaus (Dancing house) in the 1800s when "Over the Rhine" wasn't synonymous with 'bad part of town.' It's also pretty interesting that some companies are trying to bring back the German beauty of the area by refurbishing some of the run-down buildings.

Same with me. My parents left? the Cleveland area when I was 12 back in 1987 and we came to Central Florida (Altamonte Springs specifically). At the age of 37 I am still in Central Florida and wish I was still back in Ohio. Maybe when the economy picks up I will make the move back. Cincy seems like a cool city as well.

Thanks for the reply! The saddest day of my life was when my parents moved our family away from Cincy down to central Florida when I was 11. It's 47 years later and I've still not totally gotten over it. I grew up in Delhi Hills---- God's country! Kentucky is a beautiful state and my great-grandparents are originally from there. I'm permanently in Toronto (a VERY LONG story), but I frequently "DX" WLW am 700 up here at night and get the local news. ?

Sadly you are correct. To me it was a sad day to see Riverfront Stadium go down, I could never call it Cinergy Field...It never felt right to call the house where Pete Rose beat Ty Cobb's hit record Cinergy field. I am not a big fan of Great American Ballpark. To those that want to insult Cincinnati, keep your comments to yourself. Though I was raised in Kentucky, Cincinnati is the city of my birth, and in the end my one true home town, you don't like? it stay the hell out.

Just picking on Cincinnati on this is unfair; except for Columbus all Ohio cities have had huge population decline.? This is due to the loss of many manufacturing/industrial type of jobs in the state; it's happening in Canada in Windsor. However, being a place to do cheap business attracts new companies to do business in a city. In 2009, Cincinnati was listed fourth on CNN's Top 10 cities for new grads. Would such a reputable news station recommend moving to a city where thousands are "fleeing"?

That's great that you've found Cincinnati to be an enjoyable city. Though since you seem to be acquainted with statistics on Cincinnati, you're apparently aware that it has lost over? 1/3 of its population in just over 50 years; 10% of that drop in population occurring in the previous decade alone. Impugn it. My reasoning is I travelled 13 hours from Ontario, Canada to watch an NFL game and fell in love with the city with no intentions on it happening. I found what you had to say distasteful and what I interpreted the city to represent is affirmed by the awards? they have won. Such a beautiful animal. It's unfortunate that there isnt some sort of a domestic knock off of them. Although I completely agree that keeping a wild animal as a pet is cruel in almost all cases. I say almost because there are people who keep them as pets..but also work with them and have a? license to keep them and give them the best environment possible. Unfortunately that isnt usually the case though :(

The giraffes have one of the largest outside areas at the Zoo. Unfortunately it is still cold here? in April and too cold for the baby to be outside. So, while it's not the best setting, it was the safest place for the mother to have her baby.

Actually this is known this one is known as the Burgundy Goliath Bird eater (T.stirmi), the true goliath is slightly larger. Keeping? tarantulas for many years... I would suggest you to increase the humidity and moisten up your substrate in the goliath tank. It looks very dry, and these species doesn't do well? in too dry of an environment.
