The person narrating this video is talking like he is watching a God fighting a mortal. I was considering payng tuition and learning from this school; however after watching this video its pretty clear how highly the gracie's think of themselves, and I? wouldn't spend money to? learn that grandeus attitude. Its not like Gracie jujitsu is by far the best style as the narrator suggests, watch Sakuraba vs? Royler Gracie.

The reason why the challengers are hesitant to throw strikes is because they know Gracie is a grappler. Missing a strike puts you at a great disadvantage and susceptable to be taken down. This fighter "Delucia" was a Kung Fu master if you look him up. After this fight he studied BJJ, became a? blackbelt and fought in mma.

I just saw them, they are nothing like Jiu jitsu techniques. Oh... and jiujitsu is not brazillian Jiu jitsu. Oh... and Jiujitsu actually have it's origins with the samurai small arms fighting. Jiujitsu was? more of parrying with small arms and counter grappling than bare fist fighting. Oh and Karate has it's origins in India. Oh....nice research there....

I remember generally all Royce's fights against 'strikers' were against guys who surprisingly never really threw so? much as a jab. An untrained street brawler would eat this douche bag up. As most untrained street fighters have been laughing at these type of martial artists since the 60's!

If you get the back, and your opponent moves the chin to the side(an expert would do that), you cannot "adjust" the "mata leon". Moving the head backwards by pressing the nose (stricly forbidden in:? bjj,grapplig,MAA) ,you expose the whole wind pipe=>problem solved. The "strategic" strike is quite simple: hammer fist to the back of the head(when it connects withe the spine);from clinch or the back in grappling. If you do that you can paralise the guy(its forbidden in ALL contact sports)

If Kato had fought on the pavement he would have scored an Ippon? against Helio Gracie within some seconds and it wouldn´t have been necessary that Kimura proves that even under the absurd rules of BJJ Judo is better. it is no secret that helio had no defense to kimura's judo throws, so he had the floor padded not with regular judo/jiu jitsu mats, but with essentially, a floor of pillow in? the hopes that he could survive kimura's throws that he had no defense against.

it does not matter what ju jitsu it is it still comes from an old samurai skill jujitsu and every persom is giving his surname in front of it but the only difference i can see is the atemi part of it if u do atemi jujitsu than ju can not spar you can not have full contact as i would last about ten seconds and end up in the hospital! if you take it out it is not real fight any more so to say what is the most efectiv is impossible btw i train the original goshin ryu atemi jj LOVE it!?

Also, I would caution you not to insult things that you don't understand. There are schools that focus on sport BJJ and? there are pure self defense schools. If you haven't trained it, you don't know. Your default position on all martial arts should be respect.

If you like to insult other martial arts, that's your prerogative. One of my main BJJ instructors is also a black belt? in Judo. I have cross trained in it my self and I have a lot of respect for Judo. I disagree that one is a sport and one is self defense (both sides say the other is just a sport.) Both have sport applications and self defense applications. BJJ has evolved A LOT since this video though. BJJ is one of the best systems today. But why all the labels? Its all just grappling.
