I went from being mostly cooked to raw, and the effects on my physical appearance was much the same as Matt's. I looked scraggly, fatigued and lost a lot of weight, especially in the? facial region. It was until I adopted a diet of low carbohydrate, high fat and protein (mostly from fatty ground beef and cheese) that I was able to regain my former glow. I often asked myself, why do I look sickly eating "healthier" than my contemporaries who eat SAD? Cooking food obviously has some benefit...

i started eating raw for some months years ago ,wondered people said "you look sick man" but after watching this vid realized things ,gave up all kind of raw except banana ,bought steel cut oats ,sweet potatoes ,rice ,buckwheat and all kind of normal healthy food? ,cooking ,steaming them ,ordered whey protein too and started lifting weight ,now i look normal and feel ok again and girls love me :) ....

:) i dunno about "ethical" as ethics are just rules and laws. I'm talking about intuition, and just knowing, not following a set of data of "how you should act in scenario a vs scenario b". Really, he is probably just selling something, i dunno, i haven't watched this guy's videos minus this one and those in this. However, i do know that i myself as MUCH more calm and collected when i eat very well, in turn able to make better decision, or? understand better decisions.

Yeah, I agree that eating healthier? foods can make you feel better - although I'm not convinced a raw diet is necessarily 'more' healthier than a varied diet - but to suggest that the food you eat helps you make more ethical decisions and choices is fucking absurd. To even suggest such an idea is steeped within superiority over others in itself.

:D yeah, maybe not so simple. The phrase "you are what you? eat" is pretty literal. There is a ton of data that says eating better transforms your energy level, mood, concentration, and overall being. However, all of this needs to include the individual component, maybe this guy is just selling something, or, maybe this is just what he needed to figure life out for himself. At the end there he was right, every decision you make is the right one, just as long as you understand you.

I think it's TERRIBLE to attribute all these bad behaviours because of the food you eat. You are a good/bad person because? of your actions, not because you now eat raw food. It's ridiculous. You have no argument whatsoever to say that eating raw food makes you happy. It's just YOUR lifestyle choice, fine, just don't attribute good doings to the food you stick in your body. Food is simply FOOD - not a 'way of life'. Thank yourself lucky that you are well off enough to be so picky about it.

Matt points out something that is so, so, so key to nutrition here. Removing refined sugar & processed starches are the common denominator in all those diets that help people improve. That is such a profound observation. Also, that these changes (unless you're talking morally), are more important to make before removing animal products. Excellent video. I recently did a 30 eh... 20 day trail during with I ate no sweets. I felt good and I felt no need for them after making the commitment. I didn't know bread and pastas were so bad but I can't say I ever felt energized after eating bread. I totally agree that eating quality animal protein like fish is better than eating pastas.?

My guess is one company is private labeling it from the other. A quick goggle search will tell you what private labeling is. I have experienced benefits from DA. I like to train in the martial arts and I've found DA helps recovery, helps to build strength, and helps energize the body. Let me modify my previous post. It was pretty uncharitable and besides, I like Paul. Regardless of a particular view of his (h has many that I like) we need more folks like him.? And the little face-off between him and Matt was fun and enjoyable. So no, it's *not* time to stop listening to Paul. Technically, he's correct, if not overly-harsh on poor old chocolate. I do disagree with him about green tea. A stimulant, absolutely, with a few caveats. Do we need to be drinking it? Absolutely.

I'm glad to know that one? of these raw "gurus" (please) has a little intelligence. Obviously cocoa is bad for you. Full of caffeine and theobromine. By the way think twice about drinking all those juices packed with simple sugars (carrots, apples, etc). Sugar and caffeine, that's the trendy raw diet for all those privileged white people who are obsessed with central America and raw food. The rest of us just eat salad at 1/4 of the price.

Theobromine does have positive effects for some ..like asthmatics. I thought the debate was fantastic I learned a lot. At least enough to go and do some research on my own. I have a question for you.....Whether I eat raw cacao or cooked chocolate. I have a small piece? when I do eat chocolate. I get headaches and an upset stomach. When I drink coffee I have no apparent issues that I can tell. Does anyone have an opinion on why that is?

I was actually going to buy some raw cacao but after seeing this i will not be. Generally I thought in veganism or raw food we are to stay away from stimulants or other mind numbing foods or toxins like alcohol for one and even coffee or reg.? tea. Tons of caffiene in chocolate so would it not be even more so in raw cacao In my opinion living without stimulants is the right way to go. I don't know what the? significance of showing how one product is less resistive than another. I could have done the same thing by adding a little baking soda to your distilled water and ended up with the same results. Then you talked about magnetic energy??? No evidence of a test for that. I would think if you get a physiological effect from this stuff is due to an electrolyte rush. After all our bodies are one big electric circuit.

um,? I used to like durian until I saw this..gross. Why is david wolfe so chubby? what is he eatin'? also, raw chocolate? c'mon. we all know it is a stimulant and addictive and he is trying to sell that. Why isn't Dr Graham at this event showing them all how to really go raw? oh yeah, b./c nobody wants to follow 80/10/10 there b/c itis too hard for them to let go of the fat and nuts and chocolate. In Asian countries they will tell you that eating this much durian is bad for you. It is a carb-rich, heaty? food. It is also quite rich in potassium & can actually overload you on this nutrient eating it this way. I only eat it one section at a time when I get it. They need to have mangosteen or wampee fruit on hand to prevent the nausea and indigestion.
