I have used this gym and it is not all that it cracked up to be. It takes way to much time to set up between each exercise. It is a very hard to share this machine with women and children. The range of motion is also off. It this ten years ago this would be a cool machine.? MY suggestion is checking out the Prospot SSG you get more gym for the money.

I have to agree. This is a lot of space and a lot weight plates you will need in order not to have change plates around for each excersise, which can be done rather simply with just a bench and dumbbells. I have powerblocks 90lb each hand dumbbells and an adjustable bench along with bodylastic bands and they get the job done. Oh, I can travel with my powerblocks on trips? (when going by car) or bands (by car or flying). I'm glad this great equipment is available, but it is not necessary. .

A barbell beats your set of dumbbells ;D They also sell cages/racks. Though some people probably feels this is safer and more user-friendly to them. A whole set of dumbbells cost a shitload (the one there you change the weights most often don't go? too high and are also time consuming), you could get something like the powerblocks or the .. whatever the others are called. But they aren't cheap either.

I bought one on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. It's great! I replaced my free weights with this system because I like to work out without a spotter and this allows me to exercise? to failure without risk of dropping the weight on myself. I feel safe doing squats since I don't lose my balance. And there's about 40 different exercises you can do if you get creative. I'm wondering to buy this or the power rack. The reason why I would buy this is because you can avoid injuries but still train with a lot of weights. The reason why I would buy the power rack is because what I miss in this device is the possibility to do narrow bench press, because with free? weights you can choose where you put your hands on the bar and here not. you wouldnt be able to adjust the height without having to find a custom length cable anyways so i don't see why you would want to. besides the height is perfect for people that do a wide variety of workouts. it might be better for u if it was short, but there are a lot? of good reasons for it to be as tall as it is.

janboogy, but they didn't have to make the thing so tall with the high pulley. They shoulda made it shorter, and if it was in your way( which I doubt it would ) then just take the pulley bar off. It looks like they could have made it shorter. That is my only flaw? about thinking of getting this, it is the space it takes up. If you have info about this hit me back, like if you can adjust height.

Second. When Lee Priest came back to Australia my mate spoke to him through a bodybuilding forum. He wasn't happy training at the gyms cause he sometimes get bugged. Once I heard? this I said we would sponsor him. But we only gave him gym equipment - no money. He obviously thinks Powertec is ok because he has sent through so many people who have bought machines. I have asked him many times to take money for his these referrals but he refuses. Here's my thing: I DON'T in fact want hugeness. If you've ever seen some of the guys featured on? Maximum Fitness's cover (or in some cases REPS), that is what I'd shoot for. Just enough to be seriously cut and strong, but not so much that I can't be flexible and move. Principally for my health but also because I want to get back into Ninjutsu. I keep hearing get a rack. BUT space is at a bit of a premium. The gym will fit comfortably. Am I shooting for the right piece of equipment for this goal?

The? squat bar on the leverage gym is rated for 300lbs. Anyway I prefer doing lighter weight and high reps - up to 30reps. You don't do full ROM on the deadlifts, once again do high reps. We will have videos with higher rep workouts. They are great for conditioning.

i think this machine is a great bit of home kit. Even thoguh they advertise them I? dont think dead lifts are for this machine though, The are the one exercise that requires just u a heavy barbell a big lift and getting straight. the most basic and one of the best movements in the sport.What would you say the max squat would be with the squat bar 5 plates a side or is that pushing it too far?

Hey, I was wondering if? the classis L-M10 leverage bench would build muscle and strength? Mainly I am concerned about the muscle. I use to lift on cages, so I know my muscle memory will come back. This is an age old question and to be honest there is no correct answer. I always say to people don't worry about the weight you lift, just concentrate and isolate the chest. Over time increase intensity, whether it be? more sets, reps or weight etc.That is how you make gains on this machine. You can't compare leverage bench press to barbell bench press. Just like you can't compare barbell bench press to dumbbell bench press.

i have the same system at home and was wondering how much weight is actually being lifted(since the 45 pound bar isn't in affect as if i were doing a bench press. I start off with one 45 on each? side so a total of 90lbs, but how much weight is the machine taking off?

You can actually buy the chest press section separately in a stand alone machine. It is called the Powertec Multi Press. You can also do shoulder press, shrugs and rows on it. It also accepts the other Powertec attachments like leg? lift, pec fly and leg press.

Yes Lee is a beast! Also remember he is doing perfect form too. He could use more weight with crap form but he is not working his ego. The new Powertec Lever Gym has a detachable? bench so it doesn't take up much room. Also check out the Ironmaster IM2000. It is great for small home gym areas. Cheers, Sam.

it runs about 1100 here in the us without the weights. A 300lbs weight set with the? bar is about 250 dollars or more depending on the brand and where you go. The rack by its self is 450, the lat set up is 400, and the bench is 250

product rating.. i purchased power rack, utility bench, attachment for utility bench for leg ext and leg curls, free standing lat machine.. im extremely satisfied with rack, utility bench, and leg extention but the lat machine is a joke!!!. tower is so short. if your over 5'6" forget it. even still it not stable and i? would never consider putting any more weight on it than 180 pounds on it. i have busted several pulleys on it as well.

I'm waiting to see Lee on the Powertec squat system although I have a feeling it would depress me. Although I met him and he's the same height as my wife; she had trouble lifting it up from the weird middle stopping bar 'cos it was too high for her, but I guess he could start it from the lower bracing position. @NLT31, you've probably already received a better answer than this, but here goes: in addition to hard training and a good diet, only genetics can determine whether or not you'd have the muscle shape of Steeve Reeves. If I were you i'd train as hard as possible. I wouldn't rule out the flat bench, dumbell presses and flies, either. I CAN guarantee that? if you stick to those guidelines consistently, you'll be happy with the results. Good luck.

You can't directly relate it as they are completely different exercises.? You will get far better results from this machine if you forget about trying to break lifting records. Concentrate on form and isolating your pecs. Unless you are a power lifter you are bench pressing to build your chest. So it makes sense to use your chest to lift the weight. If you are trying to lift max weight you will use triceps, shoulders etc

I actually prefer the old style with the attached bench. I trained with that style for so many years that I just got used to it. I still do squats facing away machine on the 2010 version so there is no difference there. I haven't tried the deadlift. The pec fly is great, my chest is still sore from the session this week. The leg? press is good for supersets but not going heavy. Will hopefully have some more vids up soon.' Thanks, Sam.
