Note? that in wild animals, the fat is not marbled in the meat but is placed elsewhere e.g. below the skin. Wild animals are fitter. If we evolved, as you say, eating flesh from animals, then we should have taste receptors for amino acids like cats do, don't you think? We can taste fat though, and that's the only thing that we can taste when it comes to animal foods.

@ AngelaSzekeres-the part of an animal that's meant to be eaten? Just because other animals go for the organs and marrow doesn't? mean its the same for humans. Muscle meat is the most abundant part of the animal. We evolved in groups, there's only so much organ to go around. We evolved eating mostly the muscle meat when it came to animal foods.

No I cant, I havent researched that.? Ive read statistics but I feel they aren't really accurate. There are too many factors that they don't take into consideration. Humans can survive on meat obviously, but the question is what is natural. We don't have the anatomy, we dont even eat the part of the animal that is meant to be eaten. If you compare humans to carnivores or omnivores, and to herbivores, you will see that we are herbivores.

The "canines" your referring to are not comparable to a real carnivores canines. Our bodies are nothing like a carnivores. A carnivore tears into the stomach to get to the organs and the blood, thats where the nutrients are. Every species is capable of feeding itself naturally. I have a book for you! Healing with Whole Foods. It's not a fad. It's a real book where the author recommends eating foods that are actually grown in the area where they are consumed. I am eating a raw? salad RIGHT NOW and yes I'm getting my percentages better each day. Still, I'm not going to be so gullable to jump on the raw bandwagon at least until my body and mind are ready to do so. If I do, I'll probably move to a warmer climate. Anyone? that creates a book with a dogmatic title like 80 - 10 - 10 is going to be instantly suspect to scrutiny. Why? I understand the value of raw food. Hi Jennifer, You have to mostly eat at home because you just cannot get really great food at too many places out. Here in Asheville, I am blessed with many veggie restaurants. If a person lives in Hobunk, it's going to? be tougher and you have to be really smart. I've taken some food with me and ordered a salad in addition. You have to be bulletproof too. Basically, you get to where you just don't give a f--k what anyone else says or thinks. This builds character.

Oats are not considered non-glutenous and my body does not do well on them. No, I'm? not going to give up half of the vegan foods just because it's impossible to prepare them raw. For instance, black beans. I like black beans. They are truly meant to be consumed by humans. Oats are great for livestock. Human grains are small and round like Quinoa, Amaranth and Millet. Let's see you eat raw Millet! lol. Broccoli is MUCH better steamed than raw. Etc....

Thanks Harley for the honest and logical response. I just ate a couple? of bananas a while ago... with a bunch of peanut butter on them! I still crave that stuff a lot but at least I'm not eating any meat! All in good time bro. I'll get the fat down eventually. Thanks for all the "play" on the computer each day. I made Dan's pudding and it? was yummy! Blending really helps break food down, even hard to digest stuff like starches. But yeah, these are foods you tend to not want much of. They are fun occasionally, but not something you want to eat all the time.

It's ok to fall off the wagon! Just eat as much healthy, organic, raw foods as you can. Especially get your greens every day. Green smoothies are great, all year long! Kale chips too! If you want to try to use squash occasionally, make it? into burgers with some nuts/seeds, carrots and spices and dehydrate a bit to get them warmer. I live in New England, and I have no problem staying raw in the winter! If you really want something warm, make some hot herbal tea.

I was just saying dr's advice would probably be something like...move to? a warmer climate lol....but I agree...or a person who eats a high raw vegan diet who also is really dealing with thier "stuff" emotionally and really focusing on love which I think is where the most healing is at....

I hear ya...I dont want? to be in that raw vegan box either...."I'm 90%, oh wow well im 97.5%...oh but im 100%...!!" Everyone is so damn judgmental and we all need to just love one another for who we are as people, not percentages in our diet! pack a lot of dates and whatever fruit thats easy and that hold well.. apples sound like a good idea.. why care if anybody think youre crazy? :D stay strong brother!! im going to festivals this summer aswell but im gonna bring some dates, melons and oranges for breakfast/lunch then i will have? some cooked food (no meat) for dinner/evening... i dont care too much, my best advice is to enjoy yourself to the fullest extent on the festival.. then go back to reality and do your best ... Eating anything is risky, but your argument against raw organic cagefree eggs is invalid because those are the least likely to be contaminated. Heat does kills salmonella,but it doesn't just pop up from nowhere. You only get it from something that is actually contaminated from something else with salmonella. There are many cases of food poisoning from foods other than raw eggs and meat. That includes RAW and cooked? vegetables. Knowing that your foodsource is not contaminated is the safest bet.

They are more raw then 80 10 10ers. True raw? foodist eat raw eggs and drinks raw milk. I myself prefer raw goats milk. This gives you more power then then weak vegans can ever hope for. RawBrahs are as raw as you can get.
