Real cowboys love their animals. :)? Alot of the guys that work at the feed store are so nice and helpful. Maybe they're not cowboys but they are country. One of them recommended the hovabator to me and I was so glad he did. The little giant incubators turn out to have a lot of problems, at least that's what I've heard from others who have used it.

What amazes me is the fact that people here are getting aggressive over the subject. I actually do respect cowboys, REAL cowboys, who would die for their animals. However I do not respect the choices made by show boys (fake cowboys who do stuff for money only and to show off) who sneak in the electric prods on broncos or bulls. That sneaky crap isn't cute and it's illegal. Not every aspect of the classic rodeo is animal cruelty, it's just? those sneaky tricksters that ruin it.

That's pretty much how I was taught to tie down stuff to trucks, too. The only thing I do different is make a figure eight knot for the loop that holds the load instead of just an overhand knot. I find it much easier to untie. Also,? I love the way you cinch down your coiled rope! that is WAY easier than how I do it. Well, how I did it before I saw this, as it were. :)

I've moved kids back? and forth to college and tying down a canoe are a couple of the more challenging uses for this technique that come to mind. They all made it in one piece.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I, too, did not take-up the slack before racheting and ended up with too much strap on the spool. I did not have a third hand, so I used needle nosed vice-grips to hold the release level open, then pryed the strap, using a screw? driver to pull the strap loose. One bandaid later, I was back in business. (The vice-grips bit me.)

I was smart enough to engineer and attach a semi-permanent shade sail to the back? of my house with no help. But when it came loosening the tie down.. I was stumped! I didn't pull the strap tight before ratcheting, I ratcheted straight away and several feet of the strap wrapped around the ratchet. It was quite slow and difficult to get the strap free, but I did. Now I know how to use these things properly!!!

You might need help to do this, a third hand so to speak. You need to press the release lever while slightly lifting the ratchet handle (a screwdriver under the handle can help by providing leverage on the handle).? The helper then pulls hard on the strap to get it to overcome the friction of being wound too tight. Hope this helps!

If we understand the question correctly, we'd recommend adding a bar to the tongue of the? trailer (like a "T") with eye-bolts on the ends, so you can have nice wide tie-down points. You could use giant U-Bolts to fasten it in place. You may also want to find/borrow a more appropriate trailer. Additionally, we would NOT tie the bike down to a pit-bull stand. Put-Bull actually makes a rear-stand called a "trailer restraint" that is designed for that purpose.

I have a V shaped open trailer and my front tie down points are very narrow and behind the handlebars. The only points in front of the handlebar are the ones on the wheel chock (which are even more narrow. Is it? safe to strap my handlebars to the points on the wheel chock? How tight are you wanting to tie down your bike? Do you expect it to stay put in case you end up inverted? The biggest mistake most people make is tying down their bike far too tightly. This causes blown fork-seals, damaged springs, bent handlebars and can actually make the bike more prone to falling over. If you follow the instructions laid out in this video, then you'll have plenty of? tension on the straps for the bike to be stable.

Those straps that you used, my step-dad insisted on using those on his bike and eventually he wisend up and used real-ratcheting tie-straps. I realize you guys used them in a different maner on this video but i still cannot see those types of straps being secure, or getting the bike anywhere near tight enough as a ratcheting tie down ever could. I mean, you tighten? them by hand and I could never get enough force to feel secure in those straps

It kinda depends. For really heavy bikes its not a bad idea. It's important to use rear straps to compress the rear suspension - not pull the motorcycle backwards. Usually lighter bikes, like sport-bikes and dirt-bikes don't? really need rear straps unless you are traveling a long way or over really rough terrain. We virtually never use rear straps.

Nice video. Here's a coupla things I'd mention: 1. If you have "Heli-bars" you may want to not use Canyon Dancer equipment as it'll cause add'l stress on the bars. 2. Leaning the bike side to side to cinch the tiedows, you must check for clearance with your? rotors and the sides of the rails. 3. When loading the bike up the ramp, you must check for clearance with "lowers" and the sides of the rail. For this reason, it's better to push (with help from a friend) rather than use the engine.

The trick with the Cam-Locks is to lean the bike from side to side to make the straps tighter. Lots of people try compressing the forks by pushing straight down - which really doesn't work that well. We've seen too many ratchet straps fail and too many ratchet-straps release all at once to ever use them on our own bikes. Also, ratchet? straps tend to result in people cranking the bike down far too tightly, causing unnecessary pressure on the forks and fork seals.

When a bike is tied down on an angle you have uneven weight on the straps, if something slips or shifts, the bike? is much more likely to fall over. Ensuring the bike is straight puts even pressure on the straps so if something slips, the bike is much less likely to fall over.

Yeah I can understand that... Paul is such an? amazing person and like half of the world wants to see him live. I saw a concert on tv and it was absolutely great. Though I think I'd love to go to a Queen concert even more :D There are not many artists nowadays I'd like to see but I have to accept that I was born after a lot of great people died... Tickets for McCartney were expensive but I told my wife he's 68 yrs old and may never come back again. We're going! Knowing now how good the show was, I'd spend twice the amount? for better seats next time. He played every song I could think of by Wings and 38 Beatles songs. 3 hours of non-stop great music! Best concert I've ever been to and I've seen some good ones. Saw U2 in the 80's from the 4th row right in front of the Edge. They still made good music then. Queen was incredible!

Ha I hope so! :) Yeah even my little brother of 5 years old knows Queen and The Beatles songs :D WOW you're sooooooo lucky to have seen them live. And you've seen Paul McCartney too, I'm very jealous ;) But I live in The Netherlands so I don't have a big chance to see him, or others... Queen has never been here I believe.. I think my mum would have gone to their gig if they had visited our country ;) I hope I will ever get the chance to see at least Paul live, I'd feel so privileged? :)

Thank you for your great video. However, don't get rid of rasberry canes when you have cut them. Put? them in a pile and when you are ready to plant peas or runner beans build a diamond trellis fence with them. I built one with my children and they tied all the canes together when I weaved the canes into place and they loved it. I have never done this before so I do not know how well they will hold up but it will be interesting to see how it goes and it was fun.

Such a high level. I? never was a Foo fan, but that drummer definitely knows how to carry himself as a leader. He even got me convinced that this one was indeed for Freddy, and I don't get swayed easily, mainly because my idols range from Steve Vai to Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo ;)

I don't know about that. The guys in Queen are great musicians and won't play with just anyone. And Dave Grohl has shown many times that he is a great musician in his own right. The Foos are great, but if? you don't like them, it's as simple as not listening to their music or watching their videos.
